Luke Martinez scored a career-high 20 points to lead Wyoming to the championship of the Jim Thorpe Classic with a 73-58 win over Louisiana Tech on Sunday night. Martinez was named MVP after going 13 of 21 from beyond the arc and averaging 17.0 points during the round-robin event. Francisco Cruz added 18 points and Adam Waddell 11 for the Cowboys (6-1).

Luke Martinez scored a Division I career-high 18 points, including 5 of 5 on 3-pointers, to lead Wyoming over Maryland-Eastern Shore 73-43 in the Jim Thorpe Classic on Saturday night. Francisco Cruz added 10 for Wyoming (5-1), which never trailed. Percy Woods had a career-best 18 to lead Maryland-Eastern Shore (1-6).

Adam Waddell scored 15 points and Luke Martinez returned from a one-game layoff to add 13 as Wyoming defeated Portland State 65-51 in the Jim Thorpe Classic on Friday night. Leonard Washington added 12 points and Francisco Cruz 11 for Wyoming (4-1). Nate Lozeau led Portland State (2-2) with 11 points.

Leonard Washington scored 18 points, grabbed 10 rebounds and blocked four shots to lead Wyoming over South Dakota 67-56 on Tuesday night. Arthur Bouedo added 14 points for the Cowboys (3-1), including five during a 16-2 run that erased an early 5-2 Coyotes lead. South Dakota (1-3) was led by Louie Krogman and Charlie Westbrook with 13 apiece, while Steve Tecker added 11.

Alec Brown scored 15 points and grabbed eight rebounds, and Green Bay evened its record with a 52-44 victory Saturday over Wyoming. Brown was the only player to score in double figures for the Phoenix (2-2). Brennan Cougill added nine points off the bench, and Daniel Turner had six points and eight rebounds.

Francisco Cruz scored a career-high 30 points to lead Wyoming to a 75-56 victory over Northern Colorado on Tuesday night. Adam Waddell added 16 points and Luke Martinez 11 for the Cowboys (2-0). Paul Garnica scored 18 points and Tim Huskisson 10 for the Bears (0-2). Wyoming put the game away in the second half with the help of a five-point play.
